GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT Reveals New Timeline and Story Details

Bandai Namco has revealed new details about GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT, a fast-paced action game introducing a brand-new timeline within the Gundam universe.
The game is part of the newly announced RG Project, an initiative that connects GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT with the upcoming anime Mobile Suit Gundam RG XARX-ZERO through a shared world created by director Kenji Kamiyama and author Toh Enjoe.
A New Gundam Story Begins
Set in an original timeline, GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT places players in the role of a Gundam pilot fighting for humanity’s survival against an unknown threat.
The story begins after an autonomous interstellar object from another galaxy grants humanity three revolutionary discoveries:
Gravity Control.
Faster-than-light communication.
Cognitive Materialization.
These advancements allow humanity to expand throughout the solar system. However, less than a decade later, the object begins creating a dangerous self-propagating ecosystem known as the Apocalypse, forcing humanity into a desperate battle for survival.
After abandoning Earth, humanity begins a new era known as A.A. (After Apocalypse). By A.A. 45, generations born in space have never known life without the threat of the Apocalypse, until a young boy named Ray Azumi awakens on the Moon.
Gundam Universe Expands Beyond the Game
Bandai Namco also announced new tie-ins across the wider Gundam franchise, including the HG 1/144 GUNDAM HELIX Gunpla model kit coming exclusively to the Bandai Namco Store.
The game’s Collector’s Edition will also include an exclusive HG 1/144 ARK-10 GUNDAM HELIX (EARTH BLUE ver.) model kit.
Additionally, GUNDAM ROGUE ORBIT will join the Gundam Card Game with a promotional card featuring the game’s key artwork.
