Goodnight Universe Gets Nintendo Switch 2 Camera Support
Feb 20, 2026

Skybound Games™ and Nice Dream™ have officially launched a "camera as controller" mode for the award-winning narrative hit Goodnight Universe, now available on the Nintendo Switch 2. This latest update doesn’t just change how you play; it also packs a punch with several visual fidelity enhancements for a sharper, more immersive experience.

To get the best experience with the Switch 2’s "camera as controller" mode, set yourself up in a well-lit area about 18–24 inches from the lens. Make sure your face is centered and clear. During calibration, use the “Webcam Display” toggle to verify your framing; you’ll know you’re ready when the test circle turns white upon blinking and the system accurately tracks your smiles or frowns.

About the Game
Developed by the BAFTA-winning team behind Before Your Eyes, Goodnight Universe puts you in the tiny shoes of Isaac, a 6-month-old baby who discovers he has burgeoning psychic abilities.
While you long for the simple love of your family, a shadowy tech corporation has much more dangerous plans for your gifts. This new mode allows you to navigate Isaac's world using only your eyes and facial expressions, pushing the boundaries of interactive storytelling.

Since its digital debut in November 2025, Goodnight Universe it got 96% “Overwhelmingly Positive” rating on Steam, and having won many awards.
You can now pick up physical editions of the game for both Nintendo Switch 2 and PlayStation 5 for $29.99. These versions include the base game along with digital codes for the official soundtrack and an artbook showcasing original work from the Nice Dream team.
