Echoes of Aincrad: Combat and Gameplay Reveal

Echoes of Aincrad has a new video that shows how the game works.

Players will fight in fast, real-time battles as they climb the dangerous levels of a flying castle. As you play, you will earn points to make your character stronger. You can use these points to improve things like your health, power, and speed to match how you like to play.

Along with special combat moves, you can pick from many different types of armor and weapons. Visiting the blacksmith to upgrade your gear is a very important part of becoming strong enough to beat the largest enemies.

Staying alive is about more than just better gear. You must also learn to fight well with a partner who follows your orders.

Battles use a "Switch" system. This lets you swap roles with your partner during a fight to land many hits in a row. You can have your partner act on their own, wait for you to attack first, or even help you share the damage from enemies. Every partner has their own special move, so you have to think carefully about who to bring and when to use their skills.

Echoes of Aincrad comes out on July 10, 2026. You can pre-order it now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC through Steam.
