DIRECTIVE 8020 new trailer is here
Directive 8020 just released a new trailer called "Everything You Need to Know in 60 Seconds" before it launches on May 12. This video first appeared at the Galaxies Showcase. It gives a fast look at the sci-fi survival horror game. Players will try to stay alive on a ship called the Cassiopeia. You can now pre-order the game on all platforms, including Steam.
On April 16, 2026, Supermassive Games showed a new one-minute trailer for its upcoming game, Directive 8020. The game is a sci-fi horror adventure that comes out on May 12, 2026. This new video gives players a final look at the scary events happening on a ship called the Cassiopeia. The ship was meant to save humanity, but the crew is now fighting an alien that can look and act just like a person.
You can pre-order the game now for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Digital pre-orders on Steam also started on April 16.
The Mission
The creators of Until Dawn and The Quarry have made a story where Earth is dying. A crew is sent to a distant planet, but their ship crashes. They soon find out they are being hunted by an alien that can copy its prey. Because the alien can look like anyone, the crew members stop trusting each other.
New Ways to Play
Directive 8020 changes the style of previous games from this studio by adding more action. Players have to hide from enemies in real-time and use stealth to stay alive. Every sound you make and every choice you take can lead to someone's death.
For the first time in this series, players can see their choices on a story tree. You can choose to use Turning Points to go back and change a decision, or you can play in survival mode where your choices are final. The game stars Lashana Lynch as the ship's pilot, Brianna Young.
Trust No One
The main fear in the game is not knowing who is still human. Since the alien can perfectly mimic the crew, anyone could be a monster in disguise. This makes every conversation dangerous and every choice a matter of life or death.
Playing with Friends
You can play the story alone or with others. Movie Night mode lets up to five people play together on one couch by passing the controller. After the game launches, a free update will add an online mode so five players can experience the story together from different locations.
You can pre-order the game now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and at certain stores while they have copies. Digital pre-orders on Steam also start today, April 16.
