Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown Reveals New Features Ahead of October Launch

Pearl Abyss has released a new overview trailer for Charting the Unknown, an upcoming Crimson Desert Enhanced DLC featuring ocean exploration, romance, shipbuilding, business management, expanded housing, and new boss challenges.

Pearl Abyss has unveiled a new features overview video for Crimson Desert Enhanced: Charting the Unknown, offering a closer look at the content coming to the open-world adventure later this month.

The DLC launches on October 29, 2026, at 22:00 UTC (11:00 PM CEST), with pre-orders now available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and the Epic Games Store.

Continue the Stories of Kliff, Damiane, and Oongka

Charting the Unknown continues the journeys of the game's three main characters: Kliff, Damiane, and Oongka. Each character will pursue their own path, encountering familiar faces, new allies, and dangerous enemies along the way.

The expansion also introduces new storylines across Pywel, giving players more opportunities to explore the world and discover what awaits beyond their previous adventures.

Set Sail Across the Great Ocean

One of the DLC's biggest additions is the Great Ocean, a new area that opens up opportunities for exploration and adventure.

Players can gather resources, build their own ships, and customise their vessels before setting sail toward a collection of islands. These locations offer enemy encounters, valuable rewards, and opportunities to establish new strongholds alongside their Greymane comrades.

Exploration also extends beneath the waves. New underwater traversal mechanics allow players to dive into the ocean and discover sunken ruins, hidden treasures, and useful resources.

Romance, Marriage, and Expanded Housing

The DLC introduces new relationship options, allowing players to build trust with certain characters and eventually develop romantic relationships that can lead to marriage.

Companions may also visit Greymane Camp to spend time with the group, adding more activity to the settlement.

Housing receives a significant expansion as well. Players can go beyond decorating interiors and customise the actual structure of their homes, including the placement of walls, windows, and other architectural elements.

After liberating certain castles, players can also claim these locations and decorate their interiors, turning conquered strongholds into personalised spaces.

Manage Businesses and Grow Your Profits

For players interested in activities beyond combat and exploration, Charting the Unknown introduces a business management system.

Players can lease facilities throughout Pywel, assign comrades and equipment, select which goods to sell, and make decisions to improve each business's reputation and profitability.

The system adds another way to develop resources and make use of companions while building a presence across the world.

New Boss Challenges Await

Players looking for a tougher combat experience can take on a new challenge featuring a series of powerful bosses from across Pywel.

These encounters must be faced one after another, offering seasoned fighters an additional test of their skills.
