Mycopunk Leaves Early Access and Launches on PS5 with New Content

Devolver Digital’s co-op sci-fi shooter Mycopunk has officially launched its 1.0 version on PC and PS5, bringing new weapons, maps, game modes, a playable character, and wearable hats.

Developer Pigeons at Play and publisher Devolver Digital have announced the full release of Mycopunk, ending its Early Access period and bringing the chaotic co-op shooter to PlayStation 5 for the first time.

Originally released in Early Access in July 2025, the game has received numerous updates before reaching version 1.0. Players can now experience its full blend of squad-based combat, extensive weapon customisation, and absurd sci-fi humour on PC and PS5.

Fight a Fungal Threat on the Moon

In Mycopunk, players join a cleanup crew tasked with fighting a mysterious fungal threat spreading across the surface of New Atlas.

Armed with advanced futuristic weapons, players must work together to eliminate hordes of enemies and push back the growing infestation. However, enemies can become even more dangerous during combat, as some are capable of collecting body parts from defeated creatures to grow larger and stronger.

The result is a chaotic shooter where teamwork and adaptability are essential to surviving increasingly dangerous encounters.

Customise Your Weapons and Create Powerful Builds

One of the game's main features is its grid-based weapon upgrade system, which allows players to modify their firearms in unusual ways and create powerful, highly customised weapons.

Players can combine different upgrades and abilities with their teammates to create complementary builds, encouraging experimentation and cooperation during missions.

Between missions, players can return to the H.U.B., an orbital dropship filled with activities, toys, games, and secrets to discover.

Mycopunk 1.0 Adds New Content

The full release introduces a range of new additions to the game, including:

• New guns and grenades

• Additional maps and game modes

• A brand-new playable character

• Wearable hats and other customisation options

These additions expand the game's combat options and give players more ways to customise their experience.

PS5 players can also access the game through PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium, making it available to eligible subscribers without purchasing it separately.
