Code Vein II Expansion 'Mask of Idris' Launches September 9

Bandai Namco Studios has officially announced that Mask of Idris, the upcoming expansion for action RPG Code Vein II, will release on September 9, 2026. The expansion introduces a new story arc, additional environments, and new characters to expand the endgame experience across all platforms.

The Forsaken World and New Story Campaign

The expansion takes players into the Forsaken World, a domain constructed from lost timelines altered throughout history. At its center stands a massive, swirling spindle of lingering emotions and memories that threatens to bleed into the real world.

Throughout the campaign, players will encounter Liv Voda, a sharp-tongued guardian overseeing time and space. Because Mask of Idris functions strictly as post-game narrative content, access to the new expansion requires players to have cleared the main story's "Luna Fraterna" ending and completed the side quest "Valentin’s request."

Free Update Version 2.0

Releasing alongside the paid expansion on September 9, Bandai Namco will launch Free Update Version 2.0 for all players. The update introduces system adjustments and new gameplay features, including the ability to explore the post-game world accompanied by partner characters. Further specifics regarding Update 2.0's patch notes will be detailed ahead of launch.
