
Battlefield 6 Launches Top Gun Crossover in Season 4 Update Alongside Free Trial

EA and Battlefield Studios have officially kicked off the second phase of Battlefield 6 Season 4, rolling out a major crossover experience in partnership with Paramount Games Studio inspired by Top Gun. The update brings new aircraft, returning franchise maps, and movie-inspired content across PC and console platforms, accompanied by a limited-time free trial accessible to all players through August 25.

Original Film Cast: Three characters from the Top Gun universe join as playable operators, fully voiced by their film actors:

Adm. Solomon “Warlock” Bates (Charles Parnell)
New Fighter Aircraft: The update introduces two new jets designed for high-speed dogfighting: the F-74A Seacat and the two-seat F/A-81F Super Spectre.
Map Overhauls & New Modes: Players can take the aerial fight to a fully reimagined version of the classic Wake Island map or jump into a dedicated, jets-only Gauntlet mission featured in Battlefield REDSEC, set on a reworked variant of Tsuru Reef.
Free Trial Event: A free trial period is currently live across all platforms through August 25, giving new players full access to test out the base game and the new Season 4 content.
