Darwin's Paradox Review

Darwin's Paradox is the first new game from Konami this year. But is it any good? Here is my review!

In the game, you play as an octopus named Darwin. He was taken away from his home and wants to go back to the ocean. To get there, he has to solve puzzles and fight enemies along the way.

This is a 2D platformer filled with puzzles and areas where you have to be sneaky.

Platforming areas are very fun, though they can be quite hard to finish. The stealth sections are also great; you have to use your camouflage or shoot ink at cameras to move through the levels. Sometimes, you need to use your brain even more than your special powers. There are also levels where you have to run and be chased, which were really fun to play.

The game has some humor that you might not get at first, but it becomes easier to understand as you play more. The story is very simple and not very deep because the game focuses more on the gameplay than the plot.

The music in the game is also very fun to listen to as you play. There are no extra things to do except for collecting some newspapers that you can find if you explore a bit. However, there are some technical problems, like the game crashing often on the PS5, which the developers need to fix. Also, the checkpoints can be annoying because when you die, the game sometimes sends you back a long way.

The game is quite short, so it will only take you about 4 to 5 hours to finish. If you want a quick and fun game to play, you should definitely try this one.

The game comes out on April 2nd for all consoles and PC. It will cost $24.99.
