The Blood of Dawnwalker Official Launch Trailer Released Ahead of September 3 Release

Developer Rebel Wolves and publisher Bandai Namco Entertainment have unveiled the official launch trailer for The Blood of Dawnwalker, their upcoming dark fantasy open-world action RPG set in 14th-century Europe. The title is scheduled to launch on September 3, 2026, for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, with a playable hands-on demo currently featured at gamescom in Hall 6.1.
World Building, Story, and Gameplay Mechanics
Built on Unreal Engine 5, the game follows the story of Coen, a young man transformed into a "Dawnwalker"—a hybrid existence functioning as a human by day and a vampire by night. Set across Vale Sangora within the atmospheric Carpathian Mountains, players are tasked with confronting Brencis, a tyrannical vampire lord ruling over a realm devastated by war, plague, and rebellion.
Consequence-Driven Narrative: Choice-based progression shapes both main story outcomes and gameplay encounters across a morally ambiguous landscape.
Open-World Exploration: Features non-linear exploration across dense forests, roadside shrines, and ancient ruins, offering hidden quests and regional lore at the player's pace.
Franchise Expansion: Rebel Wolves confirmed that The Blood of Dawnwalker marks the first chapter of a planned saga, with future installments set to explore different historical eras and cultures.
Pre-orders and wishlist options are currently live across digital storefronts on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S ahead of the September 3 release date.
