TEKKEN 8 Reveals Bob and New Animated Series at EVO 2026

Bandai Namco Entertainment has officially revealed Bob as the second playable character in TEKKEN 8's Season 3 roster. The announcement was made during EVO 2026 in Las Vegas, where Arslan Ash claimed the tournament championship.

Known as the "Onigiri Saviour," Bob returns with his signature fighting style that combines impressive speed, power, and agility despite his heavyweight appearance.

Bob's Story Continues

Bob's return also expands his story within the TEKKEN universe.

According to Bandai Namco:

Bob was recovering after being attacked by Bryan Fury while travelling to The King of Iron Fist Tournament 7.
During his recovery, he became frustrated with the hospital food and began creating his own burger recipes.
His recipes eventually led to the creation of a successful fast-food chain.
He later expanded the business by launching Bob's Onigiri, increasing his popularity.
After learning about Kazuya Mishima's ambitions for world domination, Bob uses his restaurants to provide food and support during times of crisis, earning the nickname "Onigiri Saviour."
Driven by his strong sense of justice, Bob enters the fight to stop Kazuya and restore balance.

Release Date

Bob will join the roster in August:

20 August 2026 – Early access for Season Pass 3 owners.
25 August 2026 – Available for all players.

Bob joins Kunimitsu, who is already available, alongside upcoming DLC fighters Roger Jr. and Yujiro Hanma, completing the Season 3 lineup.

TEKKEN! CARTOON Announced

Bandai Namco also announced TEKKEN! CARTOON, a brand-new animated series launching on 10 July 2026.

The series will feature short episodes lasting under one minute, offering a light-hearted take on the franchise with stylized animation and original music.
