Kylian Mbappé Revealed as EA SPORTS FC 27 Cover Star

Electronic Arts has revealed that football superstar Kylian Mbappé will be the cover athlete for EA SPORTS FC 27 Ultimate Edition, marking his return to the franchise cover for the first time in four years.

Mbappé will also appear as the new cover star for EA SPORTS FC Mobile, continuing his long-running partnership with the series.

Mbappé Returns to the Cover

This marks Mbappé’s first appearance as an EA SPORTS FC cover athlete following the franchise’s transition away from the FIFA name.

Speaking about the announcement, Mbappé said that becoming the cover star of EA SPORTS FC 27 is a special moment and that he is excited for players to experience the next chapter of the franchise.

EA SPORTS FC Vice President of Franchise Strategy and Marketing Jeff Sharma praised Mbappé’s achievements, highlighting his impact at both club and international level and describing him as one of football’s defining players.

Since joining Real Madrid in 2024, Mbappé has continued to establish himself among the world’s best players.

His recent achievements include:

• Finishing as LALIGA EA SPORTS top scorer in both of his first two seasons in Spain.

• Winning the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League Golden Boot after scoring 15 goals in the competition.

• Delivering standout performances for the French national team.

The cover reveal begins a week of new EA SPORTS FC 27 announcements, including the first gameplay trailer, which will be revealed on July 23.
