DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3 Reveals New “Connection” Combat System
A new trailer for DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3 has provided a deeper look at the game's combat mechanics, customization features, and the new “Connection” system that will shape the player experience.
Following a mission featuring a rookie member of the Great Saiya Squad, the trailer highlights how players can build bonds with legendary warriors from the DRAGON BALL universe and use those connections to create their own unique fighter.
Build Your Own Fighter Through Connection
At the center of DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3 is the concept of Connection, allowing players to develop relationships with iconic heroes who have protected Earth throughout history.
Through this system, players can customize their fighter by:
Equipping famous attacks and abilities from legendary characters.
Adopting different fighting styles inspired by DRAGON BALL heroes.
Creating a personalized warrior that reflects their favorite characters.
Players can also call upon these heroes during battles, using their power to provide support and unlock new combat strategies.
New Combat Abilities and Team-Based Missions
DRAGON BALL XENOVERSE 3 will allow players to form squads of up to four fighters and take on a variety of missions, ranging from one-on-one battles to large-scale encounters against multiple enemies.
The trailer showcases several combat mechanics, including the ability to weaken opponents by draining their Ki, creating openings for powerful Critical Strikes.
Players can also use special abilities connected to their bonds with legendary fighters:
Soul Assist – Summon a warrior who once protected Earth to perform one of their signature techniques during battle.
Soul Change – Temporarily transform into a legendary DRAGON BALL hero and fight using their abilities.
Awakening – Unlock race-specific transformations, including the iconic Super Saiyan form.
