CODE VEIN II Launches Mask of Idris DLC and Free Version 2.0 Update

Bandai Namco Entertainment and Bandai Namco Studios have officially released Mask of Idris, the major post-game DLC expansion for CODE VEIN II. The expansion is available now on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

In addition to the paid expansion, a major Free Update Version 2.0 has been deployed for all players across all platforms, introducing new story content, boss rush challenges, cosmetics, and quality-of-life additions.

Mask of Idris DLC Details

Set in the "Forsaken World"—a realm created from the converged passions of worlds wiped out by historical alterations—the expansion introduces a brand-new narrative arc and exploration zone.

  • Unlock Requirements: Access to the DLC requires players to have reached the "Luna Fraterna" ending of the main story and progressed through the "Request from a Friend: Valentin" storyline up to the quest "Discuss with Valentin: MagMell Island's Book."

  • Availability & Bundles: Mask of Idris is included in the CODE VEIN II Deluxe Edition and Ultimate Edition. Standard Edition owners can access the expansion by purchasing the Deluxe Upgrade Pack.

Free Update Version 2.0 Highlights

Alongside the paid DLC, all CODE VEIN II owners receive access to Version 2.0, which features:

  • "The Age of Harmony" Epilogue Episodes: Expands the post-game world with new story episodes focused on each partner character.

  • New Playable Partner (Jadwiga): Previously usable only in her possessed state, Jadwiga can now be summoned as a full partner companion. She features a fast-paced combat style, wielding a two-handed sword in one hand complemented by Formae attacks.

  • "Trials of Remembrance" Boss Rush: A series of consecutive boss battle encounters that award specialized items exchangeable for over 90 new character customization parts.

  • Story-Focused Gameplay Mode: A new difficulty option that boosts player attributes to ease exploration and boss encounters for narrative-focused players.

  • Legacy Anime Shader: An optional visual toggle that gives characters a cell-shaded, anime-like aesthetic styled after the original CODE VEIN.
