Battlefield 6 and Battlefield REDSEC have received a new Season 3 update, introducing a new limited-time event, a smaller-scale version of Obliteration mode, a more accessible Battle Royale experience, and additional gameplay improvements.
Wet Work Event Introduces Contract-Based Missions
The new Wet Work Event adds a contract-focused gameplay experience where players can take on objectives during matches.
Players can:
Collect Contracts dropped by eliminated enemies.
Complete different mid-match objectives.
Take on challenges such as eliminations, looting Chests, capturing objectives, and surviving encounters.
Hunt targets in REDSEC or complete contracts while playing Multiplayer.
The event encourages players to take risks, complete objectives, and survive until the mission is finished.
Tactical Obliteration Brings Smaller Squad-Based Combat
A new version of Obliteration is also available with Tactical Obliteration, offering a more focused and competitive experience.
Features include:
8v8 squad-based matches.
A smaller-scale version compared to the original mode introduced during Blastpoint.
Available through Verified Portal starting June 30.
Designed for players who enjoy coordinated teamwork and objective-focused battles.
Casual Battle Royale Arrives in REDSEC
The update also introduces Casual Battle Royale, a new option aimed at players looking for a more relaxed experience.
The mode includes:
AI-controlled bots to create smoother matches.
More approachable combat for new players.
A chance to experiment with classes and loadouts.
A lower-pressure environment before jumping into competitive matches.
According to the developers, bots are designed to maintain match pacing while keeping player encounters at the center of the experience.
The Season 3 update is now available for Battlefield 6 and Battlefield REDSEC players.
