Ted Lasso and AFC Richmond Women Join EA SPORTS FC 27

Electronic Arts has announced a renewed partnership with Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment, bringing Ted Lasso and AFC Richmond back to EA SPORTS FC 27 with more ways to play across the game. For the first time, players can take control of AFC Richmond Women, also known as the Lady Greyhounds, across multiple game modes.

The collaboration introduces new content across Career Mode, Football Ultimate Team, Kick Off, and Online Seasons, alongside themed rewards and the return of the club's iconic Nelson Road stadium.

Play as AFC Richmond Women for the First Time

AFC Richmond Women make their debut in EA SPORTS FC 27, joining the Women's Rest of World category and becoming playable in Kick Off, Career Mode, and Online Seasons.

Players can also return to Nelson Road, the fictional club's home stadium, and experience matches at the iconic Dog Track.

The addition expands the Ted Lasso collaboration beyond its previous appearances in the series, giving fans a new way to represent Richmond on the pitch.

Manage the Lady Greyhounds as Ted Lasso

Manager Career Mode will allow players to step into the role of Ted Lasso and manage AFC Richmond Women. The experience includes deeper integration of the show's world through social media stories, cutscenes, touchline interactions, and themed Challenges.

These additions aim to bring more of the series' personality and storytelling into the management experience.

Ted Lasso Content Comes to Ultimate Team

Football Ultimate Team players can also unlock a range of Richmond-themed content through Objectives. Rewards include special Kits, Stadium Cosmetics, Manager Items, and more.

Completing these Objectives will also contribute toward Season Progress, allowing players to earn additional objective-based rewards while representing the club.

Abbie Hern, who plays one of the characters associated with AFC Richmond Women, said it was special to see herself included in the Lady Greyhounds squad and described the new content as another way for fans to connect with the fictional club.

EA SPORTS FC's VP of Brand, Jeff Sharma, also highlighted the partnership's focus on bringing players together through football, with Richmond's women's team offering fans another way to experience the club.

EA SPORTS FC 27 is available now, with Ted Lasso and AFC Richmond returning alongside the debut of AFC Richmond Women and new content across multiple game modes.
