Ondeh Ondeh Kaya’s Tasty Tale Announced for 2027

Bandai Namco Entertainment Europe has announced Ondeh Ondeh Kaya’s Tasty Tale, a new rhythm-puzzle action-adventure from Metronomik inspired by the vibrant cultures of Southeast Asia.

The game is scheduled to launch in 2027 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam.

A Journey Across the World

Players take on the role of Kaya, a young girl on a coming-of-age journey focused on family, courage, and self-discovery. Kaya dreams of becoming a Worldbuilder, just like her parents.

To earn her certification, she must travel across the world, find the Giants, and perform the Renewal Ritual to restore its flavours.

Kaya is equipped with her trusty Spoon and the mysterious powers of the Ondeh. These abilities can be used to interact with the environment, solve puzzles, explore new areas, and take on the creatures standing in her way.

Rhythm Meets Adventure

Music plays a major role in Ondeh Ondeh Kaya’s Tasty Tale, with rhythm gameplay integrated into exploration, puzzles, and combat.

Players will need to follow the beat to navigate the world, unlock new paths, and strengthen Kaya’s abilities, making rhythm an important part of the overall adventure.

Ondeh Ondeh Kaya’s Tasty Tale will release digitally on PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC via Steam in 2027. Nintendo Switch 2 will also receive both physical and digital editions.
