Free Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2 Demo Out Now!
Great news for Warhammer and shooter fans! As part of the Warhammer Skulls Showcase 2026, developers Auroch Digital and Big Fan Games have released a free playable demo and an exciting new gameplay trailer for Warhammer 40,000: Boltgun 2.
The full game is launching later this year on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, but you can jump in and try it today.

This sequel picks up right where the first best-selling Boltgun game ended. Boltgun 2 takes you to brand-new locations in a story mode where your choices matter. The game brings more of everything you love: more weapons, more enemies, and more secrets to find.
What You Can Play in the Free Demo
The free demo lets you test out two different levels and experience the game's fast, action-packed combat. For the first time, you can choose between two different playable characters, each with their own unique weapons, abilities, and playstyles:
Malum Caedo: The heavy, tank-like powerhouse from the first game.
Nyra Veyrath: A fast and agile warrior who fights with a deadly blade.
The Two Demo Levels:
The Overgrown Swamp: Face the dangers of a wild alien world. You will explore a messy mangrove swamp filled with crazy cultists and monsters that serve the plague god, Nurgle. But watch out—the enemies aren't the only dangers hiding in the wild.
The Frozen Battlefield: Travel to an icy base that has been taken over by the forces of Chaos. Here, you will have to break through the ice and battle terrifying new enemies devoted to Khorne, the god of war.

Get ready to use devastating new guns to blast your enemies into pixelated pieces. You will fight classic foes like the mischievous Nurglings, alongside brand-new threats like ferocious Bloodletters and their giant, bloodthirsty Juggernauts.
