Electronic Arts has brought 25 classic PC games to Steam, including Road Rash, Wing Commander, Ultima and Theme Hospital. The games launched on November 5, 2026, and are also available on GOG and the EA app.

Seven Games Receive Anniversary Editions

Seven titles have received major restoration work: Road Rash, Wing Commander, Wing Commander II, Wing Commander III, Wing Commander IV, Wing Commander Prophecy and Privateer 2: The Darkening. These editions add improvements intended to make the games more comfortable to play on modern PCs.

Road Rash: 30th Anniversary Edition brings back the 1996 PC release with a relicensed soundtrack, restored video scenes, optional upscaling, native controller support and gameplay at up to 60 FPS.

Wing Commander Returns With Restored Cinematics

Several Wing Commander releases include restored full-motion video scenes and community-developed improvements. The first two games integrate versions from The Kilrathi Saga, while later entries feature enhanced cinematics and modern control options.

EA says the project began after a team discovered a large archive of physical media at its Redwood Shores campus in 2022. The preservation effort helped recover historical footage used in these new editions.

What Else Is Included?

The remaining 18 releases are faithful ports rather than Anniversary Editions. They include Theme Hospital, Strike Commander, Crusader: No Remorse, Crusader: No Regret, several Ultima games and additional Wing Commander titles.

Availability and Launch Discounts

All 25 games are available now on PC. Special launch pricing is available on Steam and GOG through November 19, 2026. Existing digital owners of Wing Commander titles on GOG or the EA app will receive the corresponding Anniversary Edition upgrades at no additional cost on those platforms.
