Battlefield 6 Season 5 Brings Three New Maps, Rapid Royale, and a Dead Space Event

Electronic Arts and Battlefield Studios have revealed the full lineup for Battlefield 6 and Battlefield REDSEC Season 5, bringing the fight to Las Vegas with new maps, game modes, a crossover event inspired by Dead Space, and several quality-of-life improvements.

Launching on October 13, 2026, Season 5 is set to be the biggest season yet, introducing three new maps across its three phases. Players can also look forward to Rapid Royale in Battlefield REDSEC, a new Operation, and updates to existing maps, including Blackwell Fields and New Sobek City.

The new season's gameplay trailer offers a first look at the upcoming content, with battles set across the Las Vegas Strip and the mysterious Area 51.

Season 5 begins with Siege of Las Vegas on October 13, introducing two new maps: Vegas Strip and Area 51.

Vegas Strip brings all-out warfare to one of America's most recognizable destinations. Players will fight through multi-story casinos and hotels, restaurants, and underground tunnels, turning the neon-lit streets into a large-scale battlefield.

Area 51 takes the action away from the city and into the desert surrounding the infamous secret facility. Battles will unfold across the surrounding hills before moving underground into the facility itself.

Phase 1 also introduces Rapid Royale, a faster and more compact Battle Royale experience in Battlefield REDSEC.

Rapid Royale Brings Faster Battle Royale Matches

Rapid Royale introduces a quicker take on Battlefield's Battle Royale formula, featuring shorter matches and fewer players fighting to be the last squad standing. The mode takes place on the Las Vegas Strip and is designed to deliver faster-paced encounters.

Players who eliminate enemies can earn redeploy tokens, allowing them to return to the match. However, the number of kills required to earn these tokens increases as the match progresses, making survival increasingly challenging.

Competitive players can also look forward to the return of the Battlefield REDSEC Open Series and Elite Series. The Elite Series will feature a global prize pool of $1,338,000.

Dead Space Crossover Event Arrives for Halloween

Battlefield 6 is also getting a limited-time event inspired by Dead Space, running from October 20 to November 7.

The event follows Pax Armata as it pursues secret technology hidden beneath Area 51, bringing elements familiar to fans of the science-fiction horror franchise into Battlefield's universe.

Described as a non-canon celebration of Dead Space, the event will feature environmental locations adapted from the 2023 remake, alongside exclusive cosmetics that players can unlock.

Phase 2: Casino Heist

The second phase, Casino Heist, begins on November 10 with the introduction of European Casino, the season's third new map.

Set inside one of the Las Vegas Strip's grandest casinos, the map centers on a vault containing secrets sought by both PAX and NATO.

European Casino focuses on close-quarters combat, with destructible environments that allow players to open new routes and uncover additional tactical opportunities during firefights.

Phase 3: Frozen Aces

The final phase, Frozen Aces, arrives on December 8, bringing an unexpected chill to Las Vegas and introducing a new Operation.

The Operation will span both Vegas Strip and Area 51, putting players in the middle of a major conflict with the potential to shift the global balance of power.

New Features and Quality-of-Life Improvements

Beyond the new maps and modes, Season 5 will introduce several improvements requested by the Battlefield community. These include Platoons and a Server Browser, alongside significant updates to Blackwell Fields and New Sobek City that will change how players approach these existing maps.

Patrick Klaus, General Manager of Battlefield Studios' Motive and Ripple Effect teams, highlighted the community's support throughout the game's first year and described Season 5 as the biggest season yet.

With three new maps, faster Battle Royale matches, competitive tournaments, and a horror-themed crossover event, Battlefield 6 and Battlefield REDSEC are closing out 2026 with a substantial content update.
